Actually all platforms where it can be compiled are supported.
For Windows I have only tested it under Cygwin and it works as it should. Unfortunately I couldn't get it to work with the Mingw compiler.

Regarding the medium that can be used with it - any medium that has the ability to work like a hard drive or floppy (manipulating with files is easy). This does include USB external memory or flash memory sticks.
I am using it on an UDF formated DVD+RW (for this you need a burner with packet writting support and operating system support for UDF or in case of Windows, a program like InCD (comes with Nero if you check it when installing)).
