In the example file from sourceforge:
AssayExample102006.xml
the root project element contains the attribute
xsi:schemaLocation="http://miaca.sf.net CAOM102006.xsd"
but this is not a valid url.
If I look at
http://miaca.sf.net/CAOM102006.xsd
I get this:

In late 2006, the Minimum Information About a Cellular Assay initiative has reached a major milestone with the submission of a manuscript to the Nature Biotechnology journal. The Schema file was updated to the April 2006 version accomodating new features (see release notes in the files section). A specialised schema for cell-based assays involving the transfection of nucleic acids is also avialable.

The agenda for the MIACA session at the HUPO PSI Workshop includes a topic:
"Which other projects are on-going in the community and how can all these projects be integrated to increase visibility and acceptance in the scientific community, and impact in view of applicability and usefulness."
