OK, I've fixed a bunch of the // comments in gallium, but there's more in the various drivers. Feel free to submit a patch to fix them or just remove -ansi from your CFLAGS for now.
BTW, Please use the bugzilla database on freedesktop.org in the future.

As the summary says, the linux-fbdev target is building Gallium. It fails due to bug #2871813 but I'm thinking why is it building Gallium if it's meant to be unaccelerated?.

I'm building with make linux-fbdev. The code is compiled with -ansi -pedantic.
src/gallium/auxiliary/draw/draw_pt_fetch_shade_emit.c contains a C++-style comment at line 217. This fails with error: expected expression before `/' token.
... Argh! Alright, that's not the only C++ comment, there are many within Gallium at least.

I'm using Mandriva 2009.1 & a while after I've started playing the game, the system totally froze on me. I couldn't even press Ctrl Alt F1 to get to terminal-mode.
I even tried playing the sdl-version & the same problem occurred.
