    I see in another post that sp/dif only supports pcm? then why do some dvd's play properly (as noticed by reciever changing to digital mode and proper 5.1 sound from speaker such as sound strictly from one surround speaker and no others)

    i also saw in the same post you are workin on "on the fly" compression for this issue. are they any workarounds for this now?
