Okay I am curious how to enable both this and ac3 filter and make sure they are working properly.
ac97 audio chip ... supports 5.1 channel sp/dif
using optical output to 5.1 surroundsound receiver
5 speaker setup L C R SL SR (powered sub on occaision)
I am new to this higher level of HTPC land, and looking to expand my knowledge on how to control these signals
my OS is Win XP Pro
just started using MediaPortal

I really like the way your filters appear to do things and i would like my system to perform like this:
5.1 (ac3 wave ogg etc) -> AC3Filter -> sp/dif output -> receiver
any stereo source (mp3 wma wave pcm etc)-> playing applications ->MM -> AC3Filter -> sp/dif output -> receiver
also any information on HTPC programs that are available and will both be GOOD and work better for audio. I already tried XP MCE and much prefer MediaPortal. much easier to configure and it starts back at the top of the list when it reaches the bottom (which MCE dont do and is very annoying)
