Thanks for the naming suggestion, coalition. We actually considered separating lists of first and last names a while back, but just never got around to it. It would certainly help with the problem of running out of names when new people are added to a simulation.

Hi Paul,
It looks like the 2.87 release will likely be this weekend assuming I don't find any new bugs.
The program is written in Java and lately I've been using Eclipse as an IDE to develop it.
If you're interested in being a developer on the project, please let me know. We can always use more help.

Thanks for the error report. The mission tool is certainly a bit large and that can be a problem with shorter screen heights.
I changed the mission tool to be resizable for version 2.87 (will be released very soon).
Lars and I have talked about having check box options for displaying the tool bar and unit bar (that whitespace at the bottom of the desktop) so you can remove them to make...

Fellow mars-simmers,
I know 2.87 development seemed to be taking forever, but I think about
everything we were wanting to do in this release is finished now. The
scientific studies are going well and seem to have fit in with the day
to day activities of the settlers. There's still some more stuff we
could add to it in the future, but I think it's a good start.
