  • Mapix CMS 0.9.3 released

Mapix CMS is a XML-based framework and CMS, written in PHP and using XML standards such as XSL, XForms, RSS, XML Schemas, SVG... This release adds the following features : - An new online SVG Editor - A package manager to upgrade/install/uninstall features - Save and restore files versions - Lock and unlock files - Extract ZIP files - Multiple pipeline (maps) - Advanced caching (content and template caching) - An online documentation package - An improved photo Gallery using lightbox This version has taken a long time to release because all programs and files have been reorganized, optimized and debugged to fit a packaged and multisite architecture. There will probably be one or two more minor versions (0.9.X) to debug and improve the existing features before releasing the 1.0 version (likely about june, 2008). This version will be the first stable version, and will greatly improve and simplify the back office user interface. See http://mapixcms.org/doc for more information. The demo site has also been upgraded http://demo.mapixcms.org, but package install and upgrades have been disabled. See you for the next release !

  • Mapix CMS 0.7.5 released

Mapix CMS is a full XML content manager system, based on XML standards (XSL, XSD, XForms, RSS...) and written in PHP. This release adds many standard XML schemas (HTML, RSS, XSL, XSD, XForms...) to create compliant XML documents directly with the online XML editor. The XML editor has also been improved to be faster and more easy to use. Many efforts have been done trying to make Mapix PHP4 compatible, but I could not test this myself... Any feed back on this would be appreciated. I will try to downgrade my PHP install to test the PHP4 compatibility feature for the next release. The next release will deal with improving the XML editor (again...) by adding specific controls depending on data types : - dates would be editable using a calendar, - numbers format will be controlled, - URI would use a file selector, based on the folder editor... I will also introduce a user feature (for multiple users to log in the back-office) and maybe a photo gallery template. See you for the next release !
