The first error related to the GTK theme is about borders being out of bounds. Its a warning that there is a mismatch b/w the image and the border size. As long as you don't see anything weird in your interface you are fine with it.
If you see the last line "(software-center:25754): GStreamer-WARNING **: adding type gulong multiple times Could not initialize GStreamer: Error re-scanning...

that bug report on ubuntu's site was from me. i posted it on ubuntu's site and on yours to better the odds of a fix i guess. really not sure what the problem is but in the above post the error references a file as part of your mac4lin package which it seems to have a problem with "shadow-out.png".

Mac4Lin doesn't modify any system files. So this is not caused by Mac4Liin.
In fact, its a known bug in software center. Check these pages:
1) http://www.uluga.ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1304050
2) https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/software-center/+bug/471690.

hi. i love your theme big time but i am experiencing a pretty major problem as a result of having it installed.
when i launch software-center in karmic koala, it launches and then almost immediately crashes.
here is the output copied from the terminal after running software-center:
~$ software-center
** (software-center:25754): WARNING **: Invalid borders specified for theme pixmap:

Hmmm.. right now I can't think of anything concrete. Did you install/upgrade Compiz? That may be using some other file for the volume. I'd suggest you to go through /usr/share/icons/gnome directory and try to find all the filenames with the speaker icons and then compare if corresponding ones exist in the Mac4Lin icon directory.

1. Sorry, but You're wrong. I have my Ubuntu 8.04 installed for about 2 years.
2. I'm adventurous more than Indiana Jones, but all images I found with `find /usr/share/icons -name *volum*` were different from those which I have in my actual volume slider. I have made [screenshot][1], if it helps.
All I need is the name and path of images which the install script replaces and which are...

I believe you upgraded your Linux distro. If you use Ubuntu 9.10 then atm the volume notification has undergone some changes. I'm still looking into that. So you will need to wait a bit.
If you are adventurous enough, then you can scan the /usr/share/icons/gnome directory and search for all the icon filenames which the volume icon, you will then make to copies (or create symlinks) of the...

Hi.
I love the volume slider form Mac4Lin, which was shown when when pressed fn+vol key on my notebook. But now, for some reason it is back to the default compiz slider. How can I set the slider manually to Mac4Lin one? (I don't want to reinstall whole Mac4Lin, because I've made lots of minor changes and I don't want to loose them).
Thanks in advance.
