Hi,
I needed this software after Split & Concat crapped out with strange errors, so I grabbed the source, typed 'make' and it just compiled and ran on Mac OS X 10.5.6
So, you can add it to the 'supported' list I guess.

This feature is now in the CVS repository. It is achieved by the newly added -p option, like: lxsplit -p hugefile.bin 10
... which will split the given file into exactly 10 pieces.
