I compiled the latest linuxwacom userspace, as well as X and 2.6.18-148.el5 kernel. Everything looks sort of like it works except two things:
1.) No intuos4 device link is created in /dev/input/wacom-tablets. However it does created one for every other intuos tablet. /dev/input/wacom just links to event<num> and wacdump reports it's at least the right event.
2.) Even with weird naming, the device seems to work for the most part with one exception. If I move my pointer to each corner it looks like it's working in properly in relative mode. However if I drag the pen from one side to the other, it makes it about half way, then jump to the corner as soon as my pen gets near it.
Has anyone had similar issues or more success with getting linuxwacom to compile and work on RHEL5. Just to help with more info, here are my compilation options.
%configure --without-gtk --enable-dlloader --enable-xserver64\
--without-tk --without-tcl --enable-wacom
