This project is unmaintained. As of 2014, the software is ten years old. It always lacked an fsck routine (it's just a stub). It is still usable for DVD's, but I have not been able to format recent USB drives. It used to be great for that, but I think it needs to be updated for newer technology. I gave it three stars because there's nothing else that will do the job.

The lack of file system correctness check, i.e., "fsck.udf" makes this project unsuitable for anything more than testing. I really wanted to use UDF for my hard disks and without fsck the file system is unusable for me. PS: "udffsck" is a dummy stab. It does nothing useful.
