LilyPond editor based on JEdit, implemented as a JEdit plugin. It is an edit mode and a feature rich plug-in, which provides tools for making LilyPond scores. Features include instant completion, error report, PDF preview.
I love the way it handles my input. I just haven't figured out how to get any output from LilyPond/Jedit on my MacBook Pro running OSX 10.5 yet. LilyPond 12.2 works fine on my IMAC running !0.
Wonderful, powerful, this is the best idea to support lilypond engraving
A must-have IDE for LilyPond! The bidirectional binding between the source and the score (cursor tracking and point-and-click) is a killer feature...
This IS(!) the best available helper for the work with the genial Lilypond note-engraving system. Together with jEdit you will get a complete IDE with ALL your needs. Not at least: It is real a big fun to make notesheets with this tool and Lilypond. What you get: - a powerful full customizeable error parser, which works during input - context completion of commands - easy lilypond-compiling of the source-code (text) input (save and compiling) by simply click a button - compiling-result viewer (pdf) with integrated very powerful point-click&jump-back to the source and reversely (set the cursor in the source, call the viewer and see the event at the marked position) -viewer also provides a very handy tweaking-command-generation-system with placing the generated command direct to the source or copying the command to the clipboard -and more ... -and it is under furtherdevelopment, this means: it becomes better and better ... :-D At the end: Many, many thanks to all developers for this brilliant piece of software. If you use it, you should think about a donation. Alfred Faust - alfred.j.faust@gmx.de - www.alfred.j.faust.de
