Postfix Groups

First of all, congratulations on a great piece of software.

I was using an earlier version for quite some time. I recently downloaded the latest version and I am loving the templates. The Postfix and Qmail support rock.

Would it be possible to add a rfc822member or similar attribute to the Postfix schema? The qmail schema and the misc schema have similar attributes. This would allow us to return the member's mail address when we do a ldap group search in Postfix.

    Here is an example: http://securepoint.com/lists/html/Qmail-LDAP/2007-05/msg00035.html

When I use the mailing list and mail group templates, they map to the account's uid. The mail alias maps to the mail address but it does not allow me to specify an email address for the group. That limits how I can search for the group from an email client.

    Regards

    Hi,

thanks, glad you like it. The Postfix schema I'm using is not official one, as far as I know there is no official Postfix schema at all. So, basically, you can expand schema in any way you want and create templates to use with new attributes. I'm not quite sure what you mean, the mail group template does have mail attribute... perhaps I missuderstood?

    Cheers, Tihomir
