K-Surfer is a novel and unique software plugin for KNIME for the management and analysis of FreeSurfer brain dMRI data, developed in collaboration with the Bionformatics Laboratory of Magna Graecia University, Catanzaro, Italy and School of System Engineering of the University of Reading, UK.
K-Surfer consists of a suite of KNIME nodes that perform several tasks, such as:
•importing diffusion data generated from TRACULA, (TRActs Constrained by UnderLying Anatomy), a FreeSurfer tool for tractography, with automatic detection of folders naming convention used by FreeSurfer;
•importing morphological measures obtained from the segmentation and reconstruction of neuroimages, with automatic detection of folders naming convention used by FreeSurfer;
•visualising the probability distribution of white matter pathways.
