KprefMP3 is an MP3 player front-end, which sits in the kpanel playing your MP3 collection in a random order, but with ratings. This means you tell it how much you like a song, and then it plays songs you like more often.

I know the release available here is old. I know it's not too good. But I have big ideas for something better, so watch this space. Basically: add MP3 dirs, then you'll get an ID3v2 editor, and the ability to create dynamic lists using filters based on the ID3v2 tags. Obvious ones include one particular artist, genre, mood, whatever, but take a look at the ID3v2 spec and imagine. Also I intend to support the POPM tag for ratings, and make something to essentially do what this version does. This might not happen _too_ soon (bit busy with schoolwork atm), but it'll happen at some time. It's too exciting not to. :-)
Version 0.1.0 is available, I'd be interested to know what people think of it. There is a bug group for feature requests, please use it (and the other bug groups).
Implemented random play, ratings, and options.
