Logged In: YES user_id=198249 Hi, Marc! I think you need to install the dev-packages of KOffice, Qt and kdelibs. I did it, but I`m running RedHat 9 and I installed them from .rpm. So I don`t know which of them are necessary for libkoffice. Best regards, Rosi.

  • KWord ignores kpdfimport-0.5

I have compiled kpdfimport-0.5 under RedHat 9 as usually as I do: cd $install_direktory ./configure make make install There are no error messages, everything seems to be done fine. But when I try to import a .pdf file, I get an error message box saying:"Missing Import Filter -- KWord" and then - "Could not import file of type application/pdf" So KWord...

  • Cooperation with optical character recognition

Some marketing companies like to deliver their advertisements and brochures as a single and huge raster image (e. g. TIFF picture) that is wrapped in the PDF file as a copy protection. There is no text that can be easily imported. This data must be processed by an OCR software to extract text, columns, graphics and layout stuff.

  • KWord ignores kpdfimport

I've built and installed kpdfimport in the usual way: ./configure; make; sudo make install But when I reload KWord and try to import a PDF file, I get a message box saying: Missing Import Filter -- KWord Could not import file of type application/pdf So KWord doesn't seem to know that pdfimport was installed. I've just run 'sudo make install' again; the output is below.

  • No libkoffice

Compilation fails on SuSE 8.1. "You're missing libkoffice. pdfimport will not be compiled." Any pointers? Regards, Marc.

  • no KDE headers installed ??

I am new to Linux. While installing, "./configure", the process stopped with this warning: "checking for KDE... configure: error: in the prefix, you've chosen, are no KDE headers installed. This will fail. So, check this please and use another prefix!" Where do I find the solution? Thanks, JimLyle@EasyStreet.com.
