environment: using kopete on Fedora 11 and smiling. working with 30 more people using win$ or pichin or some other garbage. i can chat with them with no problem.
problem: i have to send them (or some of them) a huge file. the network is 1000tx so it shouldn't take long, but, the file transfer is routing through the servers (msn, yahoo, etc.) and it's too slow. i use ipmsg for this kind of work but it does not look very good and people refuse to use it.
solutions: - add support for the ipmsg protocol. - improbe other protocol's file transfers to allow direct tcp file transfers.
not solutions: - use of other app. i don't want to have multiple thing for the same job. - file sharing. i don't want to share anything. i want to send a file to someone.
