Can you post your knitter.log (should be created in the same directory that you ran Knitter from)?
Also I noticed your bug report, but your attached build transcript doesn't show anything out of the ordinary. It looks like only a single file gets built and then make exits. Is this the log for a clean build? Try running make clean and then capture the output of your build...

I was having problems similar to Winston. I use debian lenny.
I have now installed the debian package provided by Roger Light.
I had to install a newer version of wxwidgets than that provided by
debian lenny. I got this from
http://wiki.wxpython.org/InstallingOnUbuntuOrDebian
After installing this, Roger Light's .deb package was accepted.
