kissd 2.1 * fix valgrind memory leaks * Enhance sorting of DirEnt lists to include sub-folders * MSCs added (needs mscgen package) kissd 2.0 * Directory structure loaded at startup To prevent long delays when a client connects, the media directories are read at startup. o On systems supporting inode notification, those media directories are monitored for changes and rebuilt when a relevant change occurs (add/delete/change). The -u (--auto-update) option controls how often the updates are checked. Sending signal USR1 forces the media libraries to be rebuilt. o Director lists are pre-sorted as kiss isn't quick at doing this. o Hash Table indexes created to speed up LIST requests * Media Library plugins Optional shared-object (DLL) plugins for each media library - Audio, Video, Picture o Hooks into the media library build process. o Virtual Folders contain lists of other virtual, or real folders and real files - Automatically split up into "A to Z" and "Page n of n" sub-folders. - Audio folders created for mp3 music genres, artists, playlists - Video folders created for Genres, Actors, Language, Age Group, Rating * Option to exclude ".recent" folders The -r (--no-recent) option does not update ".recent" * Include symbolic links The -s (--symlinks) option includes links to directories and files * Bind to a single, specified adaptor The -b (--bind=ADDRESS) option to bind to a specific IP Address (default is any) NOTE: This does not work on my system. "netstat -lnp" shows correct, but kissd broadcast on port 8000 is never received. * Extra debugging & Logging The -D (--debug) and -l (--logfile) options added, -v (--verbose) removed Error messages disabled for optional (sub-title) files * Config file Allow spaces in media paths (by using '%20') * Client access control Allow/Deny access from client IP address. But why would you want to do this ?
