I've gone through a couple more iterations without updating here, and am working towards a release Q2 2005. I am starting a maths masters (my background is engineering, rather than pure math), and will be updating kin and kin-g cvs as the course progresses. Quite what goes into kin will be dependent on the content of the my maths course.
Changes to allow easier integration of kin as scripting language for other apps- kin lists are now java.util.List and many of the functions are based solely on the List API. Math support now in kin.math. BigNum is faster for multiplication and addition. Separated assembler into own package; now all lists in assembler are created by the ListFactory in common, so there is no dependency between kin.lang and kin.assembler. Assembler is a bit closer to printing readably, but still needs more work. Added keyword syntax to constructors, proxies to map interfaces to functions, and reader macros for hashmaps.
