  • Followup: RE: Kile broken after Ubuntu 9.9 -> 9.10

    But I did *completely remove* it. Or is "apt-get remove kile" and "apt-get remove -purge kile" not completely? How do I remove it completely?.

  • Followup: RE: Cannot compile via Alt+6

    The problem is not related to TeXlive 2007/2008 confusion, see [https://sourceforge.net/projects/kile/forums/forum/292014/topic/3450553][1] This is a Kile keyboard shortcut problem. Selecting different binaries can be done within the Kile config screen under builds. [1]: https://sourceforge.net/projects/kile/forums/forum/292014/topic/3450553.

  • Followup: RE: Kile broken after Ubuntu 9.9 -> 9.10

    I encountered the same problem. But after *completely removing* and then reinstalling kile via the synaptic package manager, I could change the keyboard shortcuts. Hope this helps.

  • Another problem with stubborn encoding

    Hi, I use Kile in a mostly gnome environment (that's fairly bad I know). Kile is version 2.1 kde libraries are version 4.2.2 (if it changes anything) (general setup is Ubuntu 9.04) I have changed Config->Editor->Open/Save encoding to Latin1 but filebrowser default encoding is stubbornly utf-8. I have (in the room next door) a computer with KDE environment and kde 4.2.4 libraries that...

  • Kile broken after Ubuntu 9.9 -> 9.10

    I recently upgraded from Ubuntu 9.9 Jaunty Jackalope to 9.10 Karmic Koala. Now my hotkeys are broken. When I type ALT+CTRL+Q, which I set for quick build, nothing happens. When I go to the shortcut window it states that there is no shortcut set for this ability at the moment. However when I go to QuickBuild -> custom shortcut and try to set it to ALT+CTRL+Q it says it can't do it because this...

  • kile preferences can't be save it

    Hi, I had a problem with kile 2.0 and kubuntu 9.04.. basically the colour preferences for the editor are lost after I close kile. Now I am using the last version of kile (beta) released with kubuntu 9.10 but the problem persists. As example if I change the text colour or the background of the comment, are only applied so far my application is running, each time I start kile I have to do...

  • Cannot compile via Alt+6

    Hi all, After an upgrade to Karmic I have a problem with compiling via the compile buttons (eg aLT+6 for pdflatex). Whereas I can compile any file via entering 'pdflatex filename' in the console (both in kile and a normal terminal), Kile fails to compile the program when hitting ALT+6 (or any other option). The problem seems to be, that I have both texlive 2008 and the ubuntu texlive 2007...
