I forgot to mention that I am running keytouch on the console as root to see the error message appear.
Now I just notice that when I run keytouch as a normal user I get this message at the console:
keytouchd(6608): Operation not permitted
keytouchd: no process found
Warning: Not all keys can be grabbed by this program. This
can be caused by another program which is already...

I can reproduce like this:
* Type "keytouch" at the console
* click "apply" at the bottom of the keytouch window
* press mute
The following error message is displayed in the console:
keytouchd: symbol lookup error: /usr/lib64/keytouch/plugins/amixer.so: undefined symbol: snd_mixer_selem_id_sizeof

I am using OS11.2 x64 and I managed to get keytouch to work (at least partially). Here's what I did:
*Keyboard*
Changing xorg keyboard does not work by default. For it to work the following section needs to be added to xorg.conf:
Section "ServerFlags"
# Uncomment the following option to reenable
# kbd/mouse driver sections.
# Otherwise evdev driver is used.
Option.

Hi,
I can't use keytouch with openSUSE 11.2 64Bit and the packman repository with keytouch 2.4.1-0.pm.6.1
The keytouch-init script is running but no special key is working.
With openSUSE 11.1 all was working fine.
Hope you can help!
Benjamin.

Upon upgrading from openSUSE 11.1 to openSUSE 11.2 I found that the IBM Common User Access (CUA) keyboard shortcuts for cut, copy, and paste no longer work. Previously, Shift+Del would cut, Ctrl+Ins would copy, and Shift+Ins would paste.
The problem occurs only when KeyTouch is installed. If I remove the KeyTouch package and reboot, the problem is solved.
I'm using the package...

I am running OpenSUSE 11.2 x64 with KDE 4.3.1 "Release 6" and Keytouch -2.4.1.
After I login to my normal user account and press a button to launch a GTK application (e.g. firefox), the application is not themed as expected. The theme applied to the app is unknown to me and is not one of those listed in the drop-down box in`Configure Desktop > Appearance > GTK Themes & Fonts`
