KernelEx is an Open Source compatibility layer with an aim to allow running Windows 2000/XP-only applications on Microsoft Windows 98 and Microsoft Windows Millennium operating systems.
For my very old computer with win9x best plus applications, thx!
It did not work - at all. Neither the e-mail link in this page worked when I turned to it for help. JAS
Using KernelEx makes Windows 98 a lot of better! Good Work
Its not perfect at all, but really works. Great job. Thanks very much!!
A great potion to revive old Windows !
Great tool to keep my windows 98 laptop viable, thanks so much. FoxIt Reader is no longer crashing on startup.
Very Good. I first installed KernelEx, then Firefox 2, and after that Firefox 3.5 over it. Finally, I installed a bunch of Firefox 3 extensions. (Without installing FireFox 2 first, installing 3.5 did not work well - no links on desktop, in start menu and quickstart menu.) In this way, Installing and running Firefox 3.5 with a lot of extentions works flawless for me. Keep up the good work!
WoW, this is great!
works in VMWARE too
OI
Thanks a lot!!!! -Could install Firefox 3.5 on WIndows 98SE!
Invaluable for those stuck on older computers, and fun for people who like to experiment with Windows.
