So far, so good. I have moved over from another movie editing program that can also do AVCHD directly, but is unfortunately not being maintained anymore. Kdenlive looks to be pretty powerful, and the developers are doing a good job. Getting to the bugs that people open. So far editing AVCHD is a little slow, but the files are huge and my harddrives slow, so I suppose that is to be expected. About the only issue I have is that I can't get an account on the bug-tracker. Something seems to be broken with their install of MantisBT. All in all a very polished and professional package. Thanks for some great software. -Evert-

I have never used video editing before. After starting kdenlive for the first time it took less than 10 minutes to understand how to load a few clips into a project and add some cool transitions and effects. All very easy to use. I first played with version 0.7.3 on Ubuntu 9.04 which had stability problems, then upgraded to 0.7.5. Stability has improved but it still crashes every now and then. Thanks to the autosave feature it's only a minor problem. I can't compare it to other editing software but I am well impressed with kdenlive. I also recommend to watch the video tutorials on their home page. Big thanks to all the developers :-)
