I noted it's possible to format DVD±RW discs from the K3b GUI; but I saw
no options for activating Mount Rainier compatibility, or, if one wants
only UDF without MRW, which versions are available to select.

I own two MRW-compatible optical drives, and wish to use this feature. I
understand that Mount Rainier support has been built-into the Linux
kernel for a number of years.

Please tell me, is the formatting performed by K3b MRW-compatible? A
Google site search of the entire K3b.org site for the keyword MRW
produces zero hits, so I assume this is not addressed elsewhere.

If K3b cannot produce a MRW-compatible formatted disc, then, may this be
forced by going to the Command Line? If so, please give an example of
the command syntax, for this purpose.
