Jyntax is a simple, easy-to-use, light-weight syntax highlighter for Java. It is designed for applications providing JTextComponents that should be enriched with syntactical highlighting and works best for formal (logical or mathematical) input.

Version 0.5.3 is out. It provides a bugfix in processing the specified color when building a rule set based on a file.
In the last few days, I've been cleaning things up and tweaking the API a bit to accomodate for requirements that have emerged from using Jyntax in another project, the GEAR model checker. It turns out that most things work surprisingly well, but then again, this still is a very simple tool. Anyway, if you are looking for a sleek highlighting library for mathematical or logical expressions in Java, please give it a try and let me know if you like it!
