span not clickable next to jsMath Equation

  1. 2009-01-09 00:42:33 UTC
I noticed that sometimes a span that is right next to a jsMath equation can not be made clickable. For a minimal example see

    http://formalmath.org/func1_replicating.html

Look at the "proof" word. The class it belongs to is defined so that its background should change color on mouse hover. The correct behavior can be seen at

    http://formalmath.org/func1_nojsmath.html

    where jsMath is disabled.

Is it a bug in jsMath? Or I am doing something wrong?

    Thanks,

This is a known issue with jsMath. See the jsMath bug list (fourth one from the bottom) for some suggestions for work-arounds for this.

I used the z-index workaround and it worked fine. Thank you.
