Java version of RPM ( http://www.rpm.org ). Includes a packager, and a deployment environment that will not only allow to deploy like the normal rpm ( unix + sleepycat db ), but will also be designed to support deployment on all java enabled platforms.

jRPM with LZMA (RPM5) support
jRPM (the java only utility for reading informations out of RPM files) has now support for LZMA compression that was introduce by newer version of RPM. For this to work we use the library http://p7zip.sourceforge.net/. Source can be downloaded from SVN.
