The commercial version has this working nicely. The GPL is an older version - it hasn't made it into this yet.

I try to extract annotations with jPedal, but I haven't made it. Does anybody have working examples?

His final report doesn't say the specific version, but it was completed in the 2002/2003 year and he does state that it was published under LGPL and was compatible with PDF files up to version 1.3 as 1.4 had not been fully released by Adobe.
