JOMPT ("Just One More PHP Toolkit") started as part of an online game ("The Kabal Invasion") I developed. Now, two years later, the features and design of the 'backends' for TKI have taken on a life of their own! I have many hopes for JOMPT - a toolkit and a framework both, conceptually, it's primary goal is to make php web development easier. Once installed, it will act as a central point for a website, allowing 'modules' to be dropped into it, which will seemlessly authenticate, share data, share RSS/XML feeds, and so on between each other. Many modules are planned - enabling games, forums, and more, all to use a single framework to interact. Its a long road ahead, but its a very exciting one. We are deeply interested in community involvement, and should have preliminary files available for alpha-testing within two months (if the fates are kind). Stay tuned!
