If I select to sort the entries by date "descending", every time the viewer refreshes the logfile it resets the sorting to "ascending" again automatically.
What I am trying to achieve is a way to see new log entries in a "tail"-like way. The auto-resetting of sorting and the lack of a tail/follow option makes it difficult to follow the new log entries without scrolling.

The table should be able to filter by level and other criteria. E.g. If I want to show only LogRecords which have level greater than WARNING.
Other criteria could be message containing String xyz, ...

It would be great, if the LogRecord details would be shown in a SplitPane similar to modern mail clients. Top pane contains the table view, bottom pane contains the details.
