Make the Chat Channels more like a Internet Chat room. Join certain chat channels, Just entering How are you should refer to the specific channel. /shout could be for the whole network. Message of the day etc would appear to all channels.

Would it be possible to implement FischerRandom castling rights so one could click on the pieces instead of having to type the moves in.Additionally it would be nice to be able to save games to file. I find automail a little inconvienient. Thanks.

when playing games against some players, private schultz and speck engine the most notorious. i think player like these are hackers. they are able to make my computer go off line and disconnect from fics in games that they are about to lose. this has happened now 3 times. 2 times with speck engine and one time with private schultz. i will never play these players agaiin . this is very imature to...

Self-reply, maybe it will help someone:
After the upgrade, Ubuntu changed the /usr/bin/java symlink to point to the gij java binary (the GNU libgcj implementation). Switching it back to the Sun java version (/usr/lib/jvm/java-6-sun-1.6.0.16/bin/java or similar) should fix the problem.

Jin is throwing an exception when I attempt to start it, after upgrade to
9.10 (worked great before the upgrade).
