JDownZ is a multi-threaded, LAN enabled download manager. It allows submission of URLs for download to another system within the network which has JDownZ running. It supports a maximum of 20 threads per download and can verify MD5 and SHA1 checksums.

Unfortunately, due to excessive demands by life, JDownZ's development has been lagging greatly. I hope I can get upto speed back soon. However, in the meantime if anyone is interested in taking up JDownZ's maintenance, I'd be happy to include you in the development.

The current download state is stored whenever a new download is added and also periodically to avoid loss of downloaded data due to OS or JVM crash. 3. The last column in the download monitor displays the complete path of the destination file name. 4. The bug in the columns of the JTable of download monitor is fixed. 5. JDownZ uses a new icon set with this release. While the icons may change in future, the logo for JDownZ is fixed as the one used in the drop zone in this release. 6. Popup menu has been added to the downloads table with the following options. a. Delete a download. b. Open the directory containing the downloaded file. c. Copy the URL of the download to system clipboard.
