A Java implementation of a desktop search engine based on Apache Lucene. It indexes HTML-, XML-, OpenOffice- (Writer, Calc, Impress), MS Word-, and PDF- documents as well as plain text files. For other, arbitrary file types the file name can be indexed.

JDesktopSearch 1.4.3 released
The binary of the final releases of JDesktopSearch 1.4.3 has been added for download. This release is built from the code of SVN revision 37. The release fixes some problems that were found by the FindBugs tool. Please take a look at the release notes for more information on changes and how to run the program.
