The current system time on your computer dictates the play of two computer controlled players in the classic game of Pong. Watch the old school court of Pong turn into an active clock. This program was written using Java2D.

The graphics system was broken by an update to the Java2D library. Fixed! Windows users *should* be able to see what is going on now. Also rewrote various portions of code for cleanliness/optimization issues. Also made a slick new icon for the Mac OSX package! Check it out if you swing that way. It's no prize, but better than the old one.
Version History 1.4 - February 10, 2007 Fixed a bug brought on by changes to the Java2D library that affected windows users from displaying any graphics. Re-wrote the graphics system and key detection system. 1.3 - November 15, 2006 Added sound to the program! Type X to toggle sound. Every time a paddle strikes the ball a random clip is played, and a different clip is played when a player scores. Note: So long as the sound filenames remain the same, you could replace them with your own set, if you are into that kind of thing. 1.2 - September 22, 2006 Added fullscreen functionality to the program! Just type Z to toggle fullscreen mode. 1.1 - August 23, 2006 Fixed some time related bugs, speeded up play and made it more realistic. 1.0 - August 21, 2006 Pong Clock hacked together in a day. Joyous!

Also, I created a special Mac OS X only release that uses .app bundle functionality so the program looks nice in OS X. 1.2 - September 22, 2006 Added fullscreen functionality to the program! For the convenience and robustness of our (read: me) Macintosh users, I created a .app package. The program looks a lot more professional overall, except the icon is butt ugly. I'll have to improve it for next time.
I asked for it, I got it! Sound has been added to everyone's freeware, multi-platform Pong Clock! Simply type 'X' to toggle sound.
