JAvascript GAme eXperience is a cross-browser and flexible engine for interactivity design. It allows you to build games (or animated gadgets) and make people interact with your page without the need of plugins installation.

Now all you need is to add jagax.js to your page header to get it running. Check Game Demos for other usages. TO BE ADDED: interaction with any page you might have. Just wait!
Many bug fixes on the lower engines. This is a very early release of this game [teaser].
It seems that Chrome has issues when changing the ALPHA (style) via javascript when the backgroun-image is a PNG file. The semi-transparent areas became white (opaque). This is not happening on any other browsers I've tested. Bug reported to Google.
Many changes have been made since the last release. Major fixes and refactors with simplicity in mind. Still a lot of work to do, but this is an important milestone! Latest version of the Engine DEMO be found at http://www.rationalcode.com/downloads/jagaxdemo/demo.htm Latest version of TD Game can be found at http://www.rationalcode.com/downloads/sourcegalaxytd/sourcegalaxytd.htm Enjoy!
Don't miss the boosted performance changes to the engine! Also, check the demo on all browsers (specially Chrome).
We achieved a milestone on the engine development. Now with no more than few steps you can have the engine up and running on simple scenarios. The process was reduced to something like: 1. Add <script> reference to Jagax. This will do all the setup up and start the engines for you. 2. Create some <script> code: 2.i. Add styles (no CSS, just plain JS) 2.ii. var ge = new GameEntity(x, y, style) 2.iii. Jagax.AddToWorld(ge) And that's pretty much it. Of course code comments and documentation (and automated tools) are on the roadmap. P.S.: Major changes also killed major bugs. I'll be updating project status soon.
Wow! Jagax was boosted to up to 200fps on Chrome, versus it's 60fps average on other browsers. Trunk version is working on all browsers. I'll be generating the game download soon.
Howdy! Long time no post. But major changes are on the way. Engine runs at 80fps on average and library requires less than 1/2 the lines of code to right basic scenarios games. WIP on trunk, so a new download version will arrive soon. Many crossbrowser issues were solved and engine is running fast on Google Chrome, Safari, Internet Explorer, Firefox and Opera (including Nintendo Wii). iPhone is next on the list.
