j-XChange: MSExchange Unbounded !

I'm trying to filter Appointments in the Calendar. The template I am using as an example is here: J-Integra Appointment Filter Example

I can't figure out how to set a filter for a date range on CalendarItems. Is there an example that uses JXCdoMessageFilter, and JXCdoMessages.GetFirst(filter) that works? I see tons of VB examples on the web, but I can't get anything to work. The error messages don't offer any clues.
