Feature-set comparable to what Adobe offers for a very high price. Reasonable support through mailing list.

PDF has become almost an indespensable format for sharing files across several operating systems without worrying about dependencies. iText is a nice library on two counts: 1. It creates PDF easily and 2. It is a Java library, since Java itself is as pervasive as the PDF format. As a developer, it gives me better control over the output I produce.
