iTerm is an enhanced terminal emulator program for MacOS X written in Objective-C. It features VT100/ANSI/XTERM emulation, full i18n support, full-screen, multi-tab and other convenient GUI features.

    tried dragging icon over to aplication folder but couldnt find where it went too. Then I saw it between my name and applications on my "PLACES" list, as well as it popped into my dashboard. I wish I could have been forwarned of the actions. For some reason I could upload the latest version in the process because of it. So we are good for now. Would recomment.

    Objective-C is probably why this application is too slow to use in large production environments.

    The only decent terminal emulator I've found on Mac OS X. Blows Terminal.app out of the water.

    Choosing between terminal.app and iterm.app seems to be a balance between getting 256 colours + tabs with iterm or a responsive app that doesn't lag when large amounts of text come in. iTerm is just not responsive enough for me.

    Love this program - perfect replacement for the builtin Terminal.app. Much better handling of certain advanced options.
