iTALC - OpenSource classroom-management

I need to be able to hide the fact I am remotely connected to a student computer; is there a registry hack to stop them from seeing me move the mouse? Also, is there a hack yet to disable the tray icon?

Well, I discovered how to 'view only', but still can't get rid of the icon.

As far as I know you can't disable the system tray icon on the computers. For me, it serves two purposes: 1) To let me know the client is installed and running, and 2) to be a constant reminder to the kids that they are being monitored; therefore, they need to watch their behavior. Of course most of them forget and find it a total surprise when I know what they're doing.
