Its been over a year and a half since the last update to iRate radio and my post to the mailing list asking for somebody to take over maintenenace of the project. Unfortunately what free time I have has been taken up by my son and online business. It seems that reciently there have been some ongoing problems with the server that I have been unable to resolve.
Therefore unless somebody can be found to step up take over maintenence of the project I have decided to start the process of winding down irate. The project pages and source code will remain on sourceforge, however I will remove all the admins from the project placing it in the special unmaintained state which will allow anybody intrested to come along and pick it up.
After much consideration I have decided that the best way to deal with the domain names is to place them up for auction. All proceeds of the auction will go to the Free Software Foundation and the Electronic Frontiers Foundation.
Anybody who is intrested has until around mid September to take the oppitunity to step up and take over the project. After that I will start the process of closing down the project.
