*********************************************************************** ** myIPtool - by Mad Dog Apps - mad_dog1979@live.com ** *********************************************************************** myIPtool was developed as a tool for easy access to change IP address settings for ethernet adaptors. It also adds the ability to save and delete IP address profiles for quick loading of frequently used network settings. *********************************************************************** Installation: - Installed in c:\program files\Mad Dog Apps *********************************************************************** Features/Usage: - Tray Icon (blue when DHCP used, black when static IP used) - Hover over tray icon to see current settings - System tray menu - Switch to using DHCP for the default adaptor (or renew DHCP) - Load one of the previously saved profiles to the default adaptor - Ping the currently set default gateway - Main Window - Current Settings - displays the current settings for the selected adaptor. - Save Profile - save the current settings to an existing profile, or create a new one. - Delete Profile - delete one of the existing profiles . - New Settings - Enter the new settings for the selected adaptor - Load Profile - load one of the existing profiles, and click Apply - Use DHCP (or Renew DHCP) - get the IP address settings for the DHCP server (eg: ADSL router) - Ping the currently set default gateway *********************************************************************** Change Log: v1.0.0.3 - Now detects all "Ethernet 802.3" (LAN and WLAN) adapters properly v1.0.0.2 - Added option to import profiles from previously installed version (only if there are no profiles registered for the current version) *********************************************************************** Known Issues: - DHCP - still displays previous settings, need to press F5 to update - Program does not react 100% cleanly if network cable unplugged during settings change *********************************************************************** Operating Systems Support: - Tested on Windows 7 (32-bit) *********************************************************************** This applicaton is provided as-is with no warranty or guarantee.
