Draw for Pros (advanced users). If you're not looking to create complex work you'll be just fine with the equivalent app in Open/LibreOffice. Conversely, if you'd want more then Documents app in OO/LO has to offer, you'd go for Scribus.
A very useful, intuitive and simple software. Many of it's tools work like other vector drawing programs, capable of high quality results. The down side is that sometimes takes time to start up or gets laggy with various actions.
Inkscape had a long learning-curve for me, and although I made huge progress, still has many more hidden treasures for me. As I can see the art which others are able to produce with it. Ofcourse, being new at an application with many features always takes a while to fully comprehend. But with Inkscape it is fun to try to discover all of them. The big user-base provides me with ample help when needed. I'm very much looking forward to the upcoming big update. Respect to the developers. Did I forget to mention, Inkscape is 100% free-of-charge !
Fantastic app! Runs seamlessly on my Linux Mint KDE.
