A highly scalable/configurable Mail server allowing users in a domain to be distributed across multiple hosts, has multiple queues and uses qmail as MTA. Provides virtual domains/users in MySQL. No patching of qmail required. A full-featured mail server.
We were earlier running postfix on 4 dell servers. Our requirement was sending about 4 million mails to our subscribers. With postfix we were unable to send mails to all our subscribers within a day. We moved to indimail and are now able to do 1.5 million mails per server and hence 6 millions messages using the same 4 servers. The ability to define multiple queues gives indimail the ability to achieve higher concurrency than is possible in stock qmail or postfix. We have also always been able to get help from the author.
We tried Indimail in our Environment ,It is new ,well-written ,architecturally solid and its Completely scalable ,stable once setup is done and is intelligently broken into modules each can be configured via text files to fulfill specific tasks such as queuing, cleaning up,accesslist, speaking SMTP protocol,it has more recent innovations that one would expect in a mail server.
