I would like to have these possibilities :
1- Repeat a key while I keep the button pressed, and stop to repeat when I release the button
2- Keep a dead key pressed while I keep the button pressed, and release it when I release the button
Is this possible or planned to be possible ?

IMWheel works well most of the time, but suddenly it starts consuming 100% CPU power. When this happens, the special buttons and the scroll wheel stop working. This problem has started to occur fairly recently on both my computers, and happens at least once a day. They both run Ubuntu Intrepid Ibex (8.10). I noticed when running imwheel in x windows zaxis mode that it would work the
first time it encountered a window but then fail after focusing away and then
back...

The ability to hold down a keyboard key with a mouse button.
This would allow the thumb buttons to be used for arbitrary modifier keys like CTRL and ALT but without specifying a complete key combination.
While a Thumb button was held down the CTRL key would be pressed (a CTRL KEY DOWN event sent) when it was released the CTRL key would be released ( a CTRL KEY UP event sent )
