Impro-Visor is a very interesting composition system. It is specialised to the composition of Jazz melodies. Impro-Visor has an attractive user interface that mixes editing and computer-aided composition. It is also a nice tool for practising Jazz theory.

Poorly designed user interface, things are misaligned, dialogs do not look proper, menus are not broken up nicely, no localization, does not display properly on Mac like other Mac applications, cannot change fonts, default display size is only good on large screens. Lots of little things that make this application seem too immature.

A really powerful tool for the practise and development of Jazz improv.

Great jazz software.. simple and quick to install, and easy to use, with good documentation. Solo generation features are worth checking out!
