iCOM is a cross-platform component architecture, merging the best features of CORBA with COM style binary components. This release fixes some major bugs and simplifies the build process. iCOM has a modern C++ language mapping. Which is designed to be standard conforming, and uses exception handling. Also included is a Python language mapping, which allows both the creation and use of components. Both language mappings support most of the advanced features of CORBA including sequences, structures, unions, typecodes, and anys. Currently, UNIX varieties and win32 are supported on x86.
