I think the way you are supposed to do this is via the ALTREP parameter attached to the SUMMARY / DESCRIPTION:

As the ALTREP parameter requires a URI value, you would need to either provide markup for your link either somewhere in the delivery mechanism (i.e. a MIME part of the email message) or on the Internet.

It's not very practical really, and I believe there were some discussion of others way to embed markup in iCalendar, but not sure if there is any standard approach just yet.
