I think, a minor documentation correction, for, HSQL 2.3.0 in Chapter 4. Schemas and Database Objects
in the Collations section.
A collation can also be used in an ORDER BY clause.
A collation can be used in the GROUP BY clause.
CREATE TABLE t (id INTEGER PRIMARY KEY, name VARCHAR(20) COLLATE "English")
SELECT * FROM t ORDER BY name COLLATE "French"
SELECT COUNT(*), name GROUP BY NAME COLLATE "ENGLISH 0"
I think, the LAST SELECT example, needs to be corrected with two items. It should read:
SELECT COUNT(*), name FROM t GROUP BY NAME COLLATE "English 0"
Put another way, the statement needs a FROM clause, and, unless I am mistaken, the value between the double quotes must be in Mixed Case, not, UPPER CASE . . . English .
