  • Developers

Another alpha version has now been released. Keep in mind that these releases are mainly to display the progress and not intended for any actual use. I also hope other developers might see the potential and want to help. However, even if you are not a developer I welcome suggestions that can improve my application!

  • Update

Another alpha release. Highlights: - Playlists accept adds from multiple libraries - Ratings are saved to database - Playlist song order is preserved in database - Columns for all supported tags are displayed. They can also be hidden or displayed by selecting a column from the popup shown when right clicking on a column - You can select and add multiple songs from a library to a playlist either by drag and drop or by selecting "Add to playlist" from context menu - You can show a file in Windows Explorer by selecting a file and selecting "View in filesystem" from the context menu - Bugfixes++ - Performance improvements++ Known bugs: - Refresh seems to be broken - Playlist song order seems to sometimes get wrong after program restart - Some of the options in dynamic playlists do not work - Sometimes the "playing" icon is set for multiple songs when playing songs while reordering/filtering table

  • Fairly major update

Its been a few months since the last update and while the product is far from production quality it is now relatively usable. The changes from the last version are too many to list, but some of the highlights are: - Drag & drop playlists (although no delete from playlist yet) - Dynamic (smart) playlists (not extensively tested) - Basic tag support for ogg, aac, flac and mp4a files (Only a few tags supported, will get full support soon) - Tons of bug fixes I did not include any documentation with the new release. I will write some when I get some spare time. Note: To use aac or mp4a files you must download the ffmpeg library from here: http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=105646 In their distribution they include a file called: fobs4jmf.dll which needs to be placed in the same directory as the HighFidelity.jar file.

  • High Fidelity Audio Player

An updated alpha release has been made available that changes various parts of the interface. Playlists are still not available, but I am making progress. As can be seen from the latest alpha you can now create and delete playlists and display the interface for adding dynamic playlists. My next tasks will be to finish both the simple and dynamic playlists at which time a new alpha version will be released. If you want to contribute please contact me: matsmortensen[at]gmail.com Two extra developers to help out would be great!
